Poetry and Writing

Gerry loved poetry.

“Time for Carnivals” is a poem she wrote for The Crescent Literary Magazine, an annual publication of the literary and artistic efforts by students at the New Haven State Teachers College, published in May of 1957. Gerry often used only her surname Zampiello as her pen name. She was awarded first place in Poetry for this submission.
